Stay in the periphery of a crowd, keeping an eye out for exits away from the crowd

Call attention to people acting oddly or using inflammatory words or behavior, get others to help. Give organizers a chance to de-escalate
If you are detained, say nothing. Do not talk to anyone else. Ask for a lawyer. Keep silent until you have access to a lawyer, and only a lawyer.
